Safe and Sound Protocol is a process that uses sound and music as a means to modulate how the brain is responding to experiences. It helps to reduce sensitivities, enhance relational engagement, and become more resilient.
SSP works well with a wide variety of struggles, such as:
- Mood dysregulation, anxiety, depression
- Social engagement difficulties
- Sensory and Developmental, Neurodiverse challenges (Autism spectrum, ADD/ADHD, Sensory processing, Auditory processing, dyslexia, attachment)
- Trauma, PTSD
- and more…
SSP can enhance therapeutic effects and outcomes of:
- Counseling
- Occupational therapy
- Speech therapy
- Physiological therapies
- and more
Positive Changes that occur include increased:
- Hearing
- Speaking (spontaneous speech)
- Listening
- Behavioral organization
- Emotional control
These changes facilitate more relational connection, emotional stability, calmness, and functional organization (how we think, feel, and act).
SSP is a very intentional process that involves 5 hours of “Core” implementation, and then can be enhanced and maintained by ongoing care (“Balance”) as desired.
